In the last two weeks, I may (or may not) have consumed eight or so sweet potatoes. That’s almost one for lunch every day, except the weekends. And boy did I enjoy them.
While I could save 100 yen by buying them raw and cooking them, let’s admit it: I can’t cook sweet potatoes and why waste precious time? Instead I can get them steaming, fresh off the coals outside my supermarket for 198 yen (or sometimes half price!). Oh sweet potato, your nutritious, fleshy body is addictive.
