Redefining Japanese: Corner Shops and Conbini Stops

A gal can’t help but want to try new things. Especially when they’re right at her reach. So what did I get my hands on in the last 24 hours? Fast Japanese treats and in between meal snacks.

Yesterday, a new chicken onigiri from Lawson convenience store. Today, taiyaki (fish shaped snacks made of flour or mochi and filled with a variety of tasty stuffings) brought to life with chocolate and nuts. Well, perhaps the fish didn’t come to life, but I was surely energized.

And the best? Traditional sweets with a touch of fluffiness and in a flower layout. Tradition meets natural beauty for added enjoyment.
