It’s been a while. Not since I’ve enjoyed multiple food outings here and there, but since I’ve shared my discoveries.
Let’s see. Friday after my last day of work and in celebration of it, we (finally) (and because the Okinawan bar was full) paid a visit to Bakeshop in Jiyugaoka. For a Friday night around 7, it was reasonably relaxed. I ordered the salmon and egg pie; my boyfriend indulged in the Shepard’s pie. What can I say? It was a pie kind of night. Both were delicious, though I could barely finish mine.
A flashback to Fukui, where I can only describe the palette of drool-worthy foods I devoured in photo format. From my girls-only welcome party to the wine and cheese party in my honor, to a French course cuisine after a four hour train ride to incredible sushi to traditional soba to the best pizza ever to my favorite organic restaurant in Fukui City, I had more amazing meals in the span of four days than in months at home.
