The new year presents great opportunities for fresh starts, change and improvements.
Did you make any resolutions?
While I didn’t make any formal ones – I reasoned long ago that any day is a chance to start something new, challenge yourself, make improvements toward happiness – I did jot down a few things on New Year’s Eve in Edinburgh. It went something like this: learn more, be more active, make positive change, enjoy life, spend more time with friends and family.
Though they didn’t make the list, my culinary skills, long overdue for revamping, have come along for the new year’s resolution journey. First stop? International gourmet.
Twice this week, my boyfriend and I dedicated time and energy to trying new recipes. Perhaps we were inspired by our culinary experiences during the holidays in England and Scotland. Either way, we decided to try something new. The result? While not perfect, incredibly delicious.
