A cozy cafe in Jiyugaoka

Since discovering Cafe Medewo about a month ago, I’ve thought about going there time and time again. The savory crepes looked incredible in the outside display, but they’re only available after 3pm and I was hardly ever in the crepe-for-dinner mood.

Things changed on Halloween when the adventures I’d had in mind fell apart last minute. It was time to try something new! After a bit of Jiyugaoka-area shopping, I decided on dinner at Cafe Medewo.

The ratatouille galette set (drink included) was 1300 yen. I chose the French press coffee after dinner — how could I not? It was well worth it – more than one cup and great taste.

The rest of my evening was also quite nice. Last minute costume spotting and a starry night.

And finally, the Halloween adventure I did have — my tradition of Hocus Pocus and kettle corn plus a little grown-up addition of Riesling.
